At The Neat Effect, we take great pride in providing personalized, high-quality organizing services tailored to each client’s needs. Every project is unique and thoughtfully designed to deliver lasting results that bring clarity, calm, and beauty into your life and spaces.

Because of the customized nature of our services, we have established the following refund policy to ensure fairness and transparency for all clients.

At The Neat Effect, we believe in building positive, respectful partnerships with our clients. To ensure that every project reflects our values of empathy, trust, and collaboration, we reserve the right to decline or discontinue services when we feel that a project may not be an ideal fit.

1. Service Fees and Deposits
  • All service fees, including consultation deposits and project retainers, are non-refundable once work has begun.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule a scheduled session, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance.

  • Appointments canceled with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in a cancellation fee of $100..

2. Consultation Fees

Initial consultation fees cover the time, expertise, and customized planning provided during your session.


Because this time is dedicated to evaluating your needs and designing your project plan, consultation fees are non-refundable once the consultation has taken place.

3. Prepaid Packages and Projects

For prepaid organizing packages or ongoing projects:

  • Refunds are not available once the project has started.

  • Prepaid Maintenance Packages may be cancelled with thirty (30) days' prior notice.

  • If unforeseen circumstances require you to postpone or end your project early, we may offer a credit toward future services, valid for up to six (6) months from the original project date.

  • Any credit or rescheduling is granted at the discretion of The Neat Effect.

4. Digital Organization and Virtual Services

For virtual or digital organizing sessions, payment is due in advance.

  • Refunds are not available once the session begins or if materials have already been delivered.

  • If you experience technical issues preventing participation, please contact us promptly. We will gladly reschedule your session or apply a credit toward a future appointment.

5. Product and Supply Purchases

If physical organizing products (such as bins, labels, or storage systems) are purchased on your behalf:

  • You will receive an itemized list of purchases for approval prior to purchase.

  • Refunds for returned or unused items are subject to the retailer’s return policy and may be subject to restocking or shipping fees.

  • The Neat Effect does not provide direct refunds for third-party product purchases.

6. Satisfaction Policy

Your satisfaction is deeply important to us. While we cannot offer refunds for completed services, we are committed to ensuring you’re happy with your results.
If you have any concerns about your experience, please contact us within seven (7) days of your session, and we’ll work with you to resolve the issue promptly and professionally.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect adjustments in our business practices. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.

Refund Policy - the basics
